Exhibition Purpose

1. Activation of furniture, interior, woodworking industry and SME market development
2. Promotion of introduction and design development of domestic & overseas Furniture / Interior
3. Related industry trends and information exchange

Korea International Furniture and Interior Industry Exhibition held the “International Woodworking Machinery Exhibition” in 1981 as a start, the “National Excellent Furniture Exhibition” in 1981, and the “Woodworking Machinery Exhibition”, also as a part of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry’s [Export Industry development method for general merchandise industry]. It was held biennially from 1984 to 2002, and it is held every year since 2003, and it is the 28th in 2017.

KOFURN is held by Korea Federation of Furniture Industry Cooperation, which is a nonprofit organization under the SME Administration. Since it receives the sponsorship of government agencies such as the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Small and Medium Business Administration, the Gyeonggi Province, also from Korea International Trade Association, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency and other related organizations. As a result, we induce numerous domestic and foreign companies to voluntarily participate. Concurrently, through our exhibition, we are trying our best to develop new products, automation of facilities and design development of the domestic furniture industry which has been pretty small and fallen behind.
